Railway and transport logistics projects

Mongolian Trans Logistics LLC has worked on the following projects:

Khandgait mine crossing -> Tsagaan Khaalag crossing - > UBTZ JSC railway Eruu sub-province - > Erlian city in the People’s Republic of China

Construction and operation of 115 km of railroad with 1520 mm gauge under the MNS 6229-2010 standards between Khandgait mine crossing in Selenge Province to Tsagaan Khaalag crossing to export and provide logistics services to their operations through to the UBTZ JSC railway between Eruu sub-province to Erlian city in the People’s Republic of China for the export logistics operations industry and safe and responsible logistics.

Transportation

Since 2010, transportation has been carried out with 3,124 freight wagons manufactured in Russia and China, 3 replacement TEM2 locomotives, and 12 main road freight locomotives manufactured by CRRC Dalian Co., Ltd. of the People’s Republic of China.

Bulk cargo loading and unloading terminals

Starting from December of 2017, a customs control zone was established for the loading, unloading, and storage of thermal coal exports at the Bulk cargo loading and unloading terminals located near Olon-Ovoo station of the UBTZ JSC located in Dalanjargalan sub-province of Dornogobi Province.

Zuunbayan-Khangi railway

In accordance with Resolution No. 28 of 2022 by the Government of Mongolia, the Zuunbayan-Khangi railway was built in joint partnership with Mongolian Trans Line LLC with 1522 mm gauge with the length of 226.9 km in accordance with the MNS 6229-2021 standards was successfully constructed and was put into operation thereby opening the second border export for Mongolia.

The freight wagon maintenance and repairshop depot

The freight wagon maintenance and repairshop depot was constructed, established and put into operation in 2019. The depot currently has the capacity to provide maintenance to 6 wagons per day, and 2,100 wagons annually through intermediate-to-heavy maintenance repairs. The depot uses equipments imported from both the Russian Federationan and the People’s Republic of China coinciding with the origin of the wagons which caters to the international ISO standards with a total of 105 different type of 132 high-efficiency equipments.
