Pursuant to the 2020-2024 Action Program of the “Vision-2050” initiative of the Mongolian Government, a 226.9 km railway line from Zuunbayan to Khangi was constructed within the Design-Build-Operate-Transfer framework of the Government’s railway transport policy in partnership with Mongolian Trans Logistics LLC.
Our company consists of professional engineers, technicians and a team, and carries out operations with 6 locomotives and 250 wagons. From 1 February 2023, a total of 0.9 million tons of coal, 0.2 million tons of construction materials and a total of 1.1 million tons of cargo were transported.
To support the project, a further 6.5 km long main road (8.5 km in length) was devised for the increased output through Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) terminal was implemented and put into operation.
According to the Concession Agreement, the project started in March of 2022, and the main road was put into operation by November of 2022, with the help of more than 3,000 workers and about 1,500 technicians from 180 sub-contracting companies. In the future, we will complete the construction work in accordance with the Concession Agreement with quality, and focus our activities on the development of safe, reliable and international railway transportation.
The Zuunbayan-Khangi railway line has an annual capacity to transport 20-25 million tonnes of cargo through its main road of 226.9 km, 352.6 km of open road, 2 stations and 6 interchangeable lines.
In the future, we will complete the construction work in accordance with the Concession Agreement with quality, and focus our activities on the development of safe, reliable and international railway transportation.
